Gálvez, Alyshia

Alyshia Gálvez es antropóloga médica y cultural, cuyos campos de interés son la salud pública, la migración, el comercio y las poblaciones mexicanas. Es profesora en el Lehman College y en el Graduate Center de la City University of New York. Entre sus obras se encuentran Patient Citizens, Immigrant Mothers: Mexican Women, Public Prenatal Care and the Birth Weight Paradox (2011), ganadora del alla Book Award de la Association of Latina and Latino Anthropologists, y Guadalupe in New York: Devotion and the Struggle for Citizenship Rights among Mexican Immigrants (2009).
